Our PurposeThe Washington State Archery Association exists to promote and encourage the sport of archery and bowhunting among adults and youth. We do this by providing education and by supporting and fostering statewide and national sports competition. Throughout our work, we cooperate with various national archery associations, wildlife conservation organizations, and related governmental agencies. WSAA is the statewide affiliate of the National Field Archery Association (NFAA), connecting Washington archers to state, sectional, and national competition. |
Archery for the Whole FamilyOften called the world's first sport, archery brings fun and challenge to everyone in your family. Shoot traditional equipment that has changed little since the days of the great Turkish bowmen and the archers of Sherwood, or step into the future with gear built from state-of-the-art materials. Whether you shoot for fun in your backyard, chase the challenge of competition, or love the heart-pounding thrill of hunting with a bow, there's a place for you here. State ChampionshipsWe host six State Championship tournaments every year: Indoor Multi-Color, Indoor Blueface, Safari, Marked 3D, Field, and Outdoor Target, plus a winter Mail-In League. Hunting and ConservationOur Hunting Liaison holds a seat on WDFW's Game Management Advisory Council, and WSAA is a member of Washingtonians for Wildlife Conservation. We also recognize hunter achievement through our Big Game Awards program.
